What if…

What if people were filled with the Holy Spirit instead of drunk this NYE? Saved instead of wasted?

” They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.”- Isaiah 11:9

At night, I had a dream on November 26, 2019. In that dream, I was walking down a forest trail with a friend. As we were walking, I recounted a dream to my friend, and as I was telling him the dream…the dream began to happen in the distance over some pine trees. In that dream, we’re three mountains, and a rainbow stretching over them. I heard a loud voice saying from the sky saying “the time has come”  for God’s spirit to flood the earth.

The vision I saw in my dream

This dream reminded me of another dream I had three years earlier about the earth being completely flooded with water and animals and people floating on pieces of wood, and broken off doors. These dreams reminded me of the scriptures that say,

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” – Acts 2:17

“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,” – Ephesians 5:18

“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” – Zechariah 4:6

When we are fully immersed in the Holy Spirit our attitudes, appetites, and actions completely change. The false gods we thought we couldn’t live without will become repulsive to us.  The baptism of the Holy Spirit will purge  us from:

  1. Idolatry/Sexual Sin /Pornography/ the Jezebel spirit and false teaching
  2. Witchcraft
  3. Drug addiction
  4. Fear
  5. Depression
  6. Debt/slavery
  7. Suicidal thoughts
  8. Rage, anger, and foul language
  9. Overeating
  10. Greed
  11. Gossip and slander
  12. Envy
  13. The desire to be approved  by popular culture
  14. Arrogance
  15. Apathy

It will replace these things with

  1. Joy
  2. Confidence in God’s word alone
  3. The desire and power for purity
  4. Freedom from drugs
  5. Peace
  6. Kindness
  7. Wisdom
  8. Hope
  9. Vision
  10. Faith
  11. Freedom from pop culture
  12. An unshakable identity
  13. Power to say NO to evil and overcome
  14. Boldness to preach the gospel  wherever we are
  15. Spiritual and psychical healing
  16. Authentic Love
  17. Righteousness

Come flood this place, Lord! I pray you completely immerse every heart so that we will be moved to carry out righteousness every second of the day.
