Have you ever tried to use your phone without charging it first? It doesn’t matter how good the phone is—without power, it’s useless.
The same is true for our spiritual lives. Too often we rush into the day without “charging up” in God’s presence. We skip prayer. We skip worship. We skip opening His Word. And then we wonder why we feel weak, weary, and vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks.
God’s work cannot be done in human strength. It requires His strength. And that strength is only found in His presence.
That’s why starting your morning with God isn’t just a “nice idea”—it’s essential. When you begin the day seeking His heart, His will, and His Word, you’re filled with His purpose and equipped with His power.
But when we skip that step, the day becomes all about striving—fighting just to survive, instead of thriving in the joy and peace of the Garden He’s called us to live in.
So before you run off to earn income or check off your to-do list, stop and look up. Be recharged. Be filled. Be reminded of who you are and what you’re here to do.
Jesus said, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).
Put God first on your agenda, and watch how He puts you first when it’s time for breakthrough and promotion.
Amen.
