Last week the sermon at Casas Church was about you can’t give what you don’t have. Therefore we need to store up what we want to give away. This morning my devotion was about giving generously.
The Bible says,
“ Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”- 2 Corinthians 9:6-15
The challenge God has placed on my heart is to realize what I have, and to store up good things, not for myself ( like the rich fool) But store up things so I can give them away. We are to store up things , not for ourselves, but for the Kingdom of God.
19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. – Matthew 6:19-21
This reminds me of doing charity work, work that isn’t paid back by humans, but paid back by God. Scripture say,
“ Anyone who is kind to poor people lends to the Lord. God will reward him for what he has done.” – Proverbs 19:17
I’ve always had a heart for the poor, but sometimes I can’t help them, because I’m like them. So I have to lend to myself, lol. Yet, I do have talent, skills, and gifts that I do give to those who can’t afford it.
looking forward to what God wants to do here at Mic Solo Studios, and the programs he’s calling me to start like the Become internship program and Jesus Party ties into these holy scriptures.
I sense God telling me to start taking artist under my wing, and help them find their identity. So in the coming months you will see some of these artist start to bloom.
