Cry out Before God
” O, Lord, the God who saves me, day and night I cry out before you.” -Psalm 88:1
God is not shocked by our raw emotions. We can be transparent with him and vulnerable about the way we feel. But we must recognize that he is the cure ” The God who saves me”. We must turn to him in these moments of pain because only he has the real cure. People have turned to other things like drugs, sex, and other substances which left them in an even more broken state, but when we turn to God he turns our life around for the good.
Prayer: Dear heavenly Father you know our pain, and suffering. Hear our cry and restore us , Amen.
Receive THE GIFT of GOD
” For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus. ” -Romans 6:23 says
Sin is a horrible employer because after it has used you up it kills you ” the wages of sin is death”. But when you work for God, you’re in a family business and the gift you receive as a child of God is eternal life. In this world full of distractions and idols we often forget just how good God is in giving himself through Christ so we could have a new reality.
Prayer: Dear Father may we always realize the gift you have given through Jesus, and be workers of righteousness that receive eternal life, Amen.
Know God’s Promises
” My people are destroyed from a lack of knowledge”-Hosea 4:6
There are many cures found in nature, but if we don’t know how to extract them, then our disease will persist. In the same way, if we don’t know the promises found in the word, then we will deny having and abundant life.
Prayer: Gracious Father, open our eyes so that we may see your goodness, and take hold of it. Amen.
