I heard it said the people who commit suicide are some of the most passionate people in the world, because they refuse to live a life that is below their purpose. How many talented, beautiful people have we lost to suicide? "Too many", you might say...

I felt like I was headed down that same path two years ago, that was the purpose of Become. I had to draw closer to the author of life otherwise I would become the author of my own death. Purpose is what keeps me here, and in 2016 I didn’t see much of it. But something in me told me not to give up.

One of my favorite childhood actors Lee Thompson Young committed suicide, and his face comes to mind every time I think about someone who was gone too soon. I’m also thinking about my friend Stan, who was a very nice guy - Gone too soon.

I feel that we as a country are on that same path if we forget our purpose. We can live beneath our purpose, and commit a suicide if we don’t realize who we are in heaven’s eyes, and why God has established us here on earth.

A loss of perspective is a dangerous thing, it’s like driving in the dark with no lights. “Without a vision the people perish”(proverbs 29:18). I had lost vision for my life , and was a point of wanting to take it, but instead of taking it, I took this trip.

My vision for Become More is to help build confidence in young people and help them achieve the prosperous dream God has for their life.
